What's new on the Truphone website

We've launched a new version of our website today, with over 50 improvements. The new features you'll see as a Truphone customer include:

• The ability to top up your account balance by an amount of your choosing, from 5.00 to 50.00 (log on to My Account and click 'Get More Credit'):
  
  
• Improved control over how your Truphone calls are forwarded to GSM when you're out of wi-fi coverage, plus clear information about how forwarding is charged (log on to My Account and see the Call Forwarding section):
  
  
• More detailed call history. Calls now show the called destination, with the country name and an indication of whether the call is to a mobile phone. Call records can also be expanded to see a breakdown of charges for each call (for instance, charges for using The Cloud commercial hotspot):
  
  
• Better handset detection on sign-up, with more helpful messages.
• Faster page rendering, with further improvements to follow in the coming weeks.
• A new, cleaner home page with a news column on the right-hand side, where you can always see what's new from Truphone.

Truphone on the iPhone?

Already, some people have asked us: ‘Will Truphone be available on the new Apple iPhone?’.

Well, we followed the MacWorld keynote too and didn't it look good? No-one outside of Cupertino really knows what's possible on that device, but it has Wi-Fi, it is smart and it's certainly going to sell. That sounds like Truphone territory to us.

So the short answer is: yes we’d love to get Truphone onto the iPhone. Indeed, the Truphone tech team seem very keen to get their hands on sample handsets. Purely for professional reasons of course....
