Truphone works on the new Nokia E71

Here in the Truphone office, we're all cooing over the fabulous new Nokia E71. It's got terrific 'form factor' - i.e. it looks nice and feels nice and has some great features.

If you're lucky enough to have one of these, then the good news is that Truphone works on it already!

However, please note that during the install process, just for the time being, you will see a message "Application not compatible with phone. Continue anyway?". Just continue and it should all be fine. We are of course fixing this to avoid this message being shown in the future.

If you do have any queries, please email us.

One of the key differences is that you don't need to be connected to Wi-Fi to use Truphone for the Nokia.

This is one of the best VOIP software I ever used on my Nokia phone. It works perfectly with my Nokia E71 phone to make cheap or free international calls! Keep up the good job! http://davidinauckland.blogspot.com/

Has anyone tried using this phone in an EDGE data network area, if so, how was the speed of the browser on it, and if you also tried streaming video with, how was it with doing that? The reason I want to know is, I’m not in a AT&T 3g area, just EDGE. I’m trying to hold off to see if they will release a similar phone, but on Verizon’s CDMA network, since I believe Verizon has 3g in my area, but this phone just keeps tempting me with each positive review I read about it.
