New Truphone pricing plan launched - to save you even more
There has been lots of feedback and comments from you, our users, saying that Truphone has great call rates, but can we make them even cheaper?
We are happy to say that we can, and as of today, we have!
As well as our incredibly cheap standard rates (which we have from today renamed as the TruStandard rates), we have now introduced an even cheaper set of call rates, known as the TruSaver rates.
With TruSaver, you can save up to 60% on international calls compared to our TruStandard rates. International call costs are now as low as 1.2p / 1.8c a minute to key destinations.
Getting access to the TruSaver rates is very easy - simply select TruSaver from the Auto Top Up section in My Account. It only costs £2.50 / $4.00 a month to join, and you can cancel at any time.
As an extra bonus for everyone, the monthly fee will only come into effect at the start of February, meaning that you can try out the TruSaver rates for FREE until then.
So, if you are interested in making even more savings on your international calls, the TruSaver might be the answer. You can read more about TruSaver, and compare the TruStandard and TruSaver rates, or look at the terms and conditions, at the Truphone website.
this is the best pricing I have seen, with my usage of ((truphone)) this is going to save me even more. Considering that I spend £50 / months on truphone I will now probably lower my bill to £25 - £30.

Considering that the American TruSaver pack is discontinued. Will I still get to keep my US/CA minutes after upgrading to TruSaver Pack?

Avinash K P - Your American TruSaver pack will remain until its expiry at the end of its 30 day period, so yes, you will keep your minutes.

even trusaver isnt really cheaper then skype (sms is always more expensive and calling landlines also many times are more expensive)
then i am comparing it to skype. When i am comparing it to voipbuster (or the other betamax providers) then TruPhone (trusaver or not) is really really way to expensive.
for example calling to switzerland on a landline cost me nothing with voipbuster at the moment (i have current more the 200 free days) sending an sms to a swiss mobile cost me 0.03 euro cent...
even if i didnt have the free days then calling the landline in swiss cost 0.01 euro cent compared to 10 dollar or 6 dollar cent of truphone.
I was a happy truphone user because there software for s60 phones integrates nicely but the pricing is really just steep.

Is it just me or does the Caller ID show a +44 country code even when you are in the United States, i'm paying them, why can't i get the service i need (which is my current mobile number to show up on caller id). Ever since the new upgrade truphone isn't as good.

Richard - this is a very odd situation. Are you able to submit a support request to support@truphone.com detailing the calls you have made when this has happened so we can check our call logs?

For most people it's something they buy once every 10 years or so...
