Low-cost calling just got lower with TruUnlimited, a robust, flat-rate, worry-free, calling plan launched today. People around the world can now call more places, both landlines and mobiles, more often - all for one, low, fixed price.

There are two TruUnlimited packages available:

  • TruUnlimited Landlines: Unlimited calls to landlines* in 38 countries for just £10/$17 a month*
  • TruUnlimited Mobiles: Unlimited calls to mobiles in 69 countries for just £25/$40 a month (UPDATE: The TruUnlimited Mobiles plan is no longer available. Read our comment on this in the comments below)

Whichever package you choose, TruUnlimited gives you the freedom to make calls around the world, any time of the day, any day of the week without having to worry about mounting call charges.

What's more - with Truphone you are always in control; there are no long-term contracts and you can cancel your monthly charge at any time.

In fact, all you need to do is decide is which plan is right for you - Landlines* or Mobiles!

TruUnlimited-why it is temporarily unavailable???
my account had just automatically changed to tru standard..
why?
when it is gonna be available?

I had changed my tariff to TruUnlimited (Mobile Plan). In the terms and condition of use the clause states that one can only use it for personal use and for maximum of 3000minutes per month. To by shock and dismay I have found that my tariff has been set back to TruStandard within 8days of being resgistred. The reason I am not using it according to the fair use policy. But I have just used less than 800minutes out of this maximum of 3000minutes per month.

I called your support twice and infact one of your service memer told me she dose not really see the reason why my tariff has been set back..

If you want to implement a fair use policy then first be fair in framing your policy and adhering to it. Dont set this maxmimum limit of 3000minutes when you are going to pull the plug off even before reaching 1000minutes. Then just spell out the truth and let the users know that you would terminate the service with a maximum limiti of 1000minutes or whatever. On top I would recommend you to set a daily limit if that helps to keep your service quality. So please spell out your fair use policy more clearly and let the user know the complete usage policy than claiming to provide a maximum of 3000minutes.

I am very dissapointed with the way you handel this fair use policy which seems to be more unfair. PLEASE LET THE USERS KNOW THAT THIS 3000min IS NOT TRUE AND SET A DAILY LIMIT.

Thank you!

AMar

i face the problem as amar n kumaran...
i hope truphone can solve this problem immediately...

I am being charged for calls when it is shown as a FREE CALL on your web page.

Switzerland - Free and i am paying for the number 414440****** 00:06:19 - 0.60.
Thailand - Free and I am paying for the number 668135****** 00:03:40 - 0.20.

And the best part of it all is, there are some numbers that I call in Thailand that is free! And some numbers that I call in Thailand that I have to pay? I am on the TruUnlimited plan which gives me all calls FREE. To landlines and Mobile Lines as well.

Please fix this problem immediately and please refund me my money. It takes a very long time for your replies on the Contacts page.

We have made the tough decision to withdraw the TruUnlimited Mobile plan, after finding a lot of subscriber usage was not what we would consider 'normal consumer usage'.

We apologise for the inconvenience this may have caused to our customers. TruUnlimited Landlines is still available, and with calls to landlines 38 countries (and mobiles in 9 countries) still offers fantastic value.

All customers on this plan received a pro-rata refund, in Truphone credit. If you were on the TruUnlimited Mobiles plan but did not get a refund, please follow up with support@truphone.com

David - regarding your being charged for calls that a free, please email support@truphone.com with your username, so that they can have a look into these calls.

I appreciate that this must've been a difficult business decision on TruPhone's part. We're recent TruPhone subscribers and were planning to upgrade to the TruUnlimited Mobiles plan just before it was discontinued.

TruPhone still provides good value to us but some sort of prepaid minutes plan (it doesn't have to be unlimited) would be great! In other words, instead of offering unlimited calling for $40/month, how about 1500 minutes for $25, or something along these lines?

@Salman - You raise a good suggestion, and I would argue that you could treat our the $17 TruUnlimited landlines plan in this way (pay $17 and get all the calls you want, subject to the fair use policy). Would you agree?
