Great News! Truphone now compatible with Apple OS 3.1
The issues Truphone experienced with the new Apple OS 3.1 firmware have now been solved with the release of Truphone for the iPhone version 3.0.3, released today.
If you have not already updated either Truphone or your Apple firmware we recommend you do as soon as possible - you should not encounter any further issues with Truphone by doing so.
If you have already upgraded Apple's new OS 3.1 firmware then you should now upgrade Truphone so that you can get back to enjoying great value international calls, and staying in touch with our integrated IM service.
Apologies once again if you experienced any issues with Truphone over the last week.
Thanks
and happy chatting,
The Truphone Team

Hi,
I just got a 3G Iphone and was eager to use your truphone, I wasn't able to enter my Cell number since United Arab Emirates is not in the list
Can you please tell me the reason behind that? and is there a work around to register an account without entering a number?
Thank you

Hi,
Some jurisdictions restrict the use of internet-based applications and the ability to enter into agreements for the use of internet related services. The UAE is one of these jurisdictions, which is why if you are in the UAE, you will not be able to use Truphone.

Hi Ellas,
At this time, text messaging is only available on Truphone for the Nokia. We are looking to have text messaging available on the iPhone app in the future though.
Stay tuned for more,

hi! I find that the Truphone App for ipod Touch is not compatible with OS 3.1... It will open, load, and then 3 seconds later close. This happens again and again, after rebooting and restoring the ipod.

Hi Mike - have you downloaded the new version of the app, which was put into the App Store just last week? This version is compatible with OS 3.1. To download, go to http://bit.ly/4G87tZ
If you have any problems with this version of the app, please send an email to our Support team (support@truphone.com)
