Truphone - a first alternative to Skype or Gizmo5
Posted by Truphone on November 12, 2009
Yesterday we received a lovely review from Crenk.com,
who had been looking at alternatives to Skype and Gizmo5. You can look at it
here at Crenk Blog.
Only thing we’d like to add to this article is that our iPhone, iPod Touch and Android apps already support full Skype functionality, so anyone switching to Truphone neither lose any of the previous functionality, nor have to keep two apps installed. Smart stuff.
The Skype integration in the iPhone etc. apps is probably wonderful. I don't use Skype, but some of my friends do, so as a Symbian user I would very much like to see this in the S60 client as well!
As for "alternatives" thing, Truphone and Gizmo5 speak the same SIP language anyway, and Skype is too mysterious to interest me in the first place :-)
Cheers, and keep on amazing me!

I have tested most of the best VoIP apps and must say that Vopium, Nimbuzz and Jajah are the best compititors of skype and Gizmo.

Hi Andrew - not sure why it is failing, however if you send a quick email to our Support Team (support@truphone.com), they will be able to assist you.
