Say hello to Tru

Fall

Today is a big day for us.

As of today, ‘Truphone’ is now simply known as ‘Tru’ - which is what we are to our customers. Tru is to be for the other people, those who have had enough of paying through the nose to stay in touch when they are abroad.

We want to help you stay in touch wherever you are without the fear of being hit by unjustifiably high roaming charges.

New tru logo Our new brand, ‘Tru’, the world’s first global mobile network, is designed to stand out from the price-led clutter of traditional mobile networks. We want our bold messages to encourage businesses to re-think the old fashioned convention that roaming abroad means exorbitant mobile phone charges.

Because it doesn’t, not with us anyway.

You’ll notice the change at every Tru touch point. Our brand new website for one. We hope the new website makes it simpler to understand Tru, easier to get help when you need it, and more fun to use.

Let us know your thoughts on what you think of Tru so far – we’d love to hear them. You can comment below or drop us an email at hello@truphone.com.

Kind Regards,

Everyone in the Tru team

i have tru on my ipad and was delighted to contact a mobile friend in london from vientiane, laos last october, and had a great call for 12 mins at a reasonable cost of 3-4 dollars. i heard other people using the phone network complaining they could not phone out. tru over wi-fi is a great service.

I am trying a Truphone Australian number. I could not find on the website the cost of receiving calls on this number. I received a call on it (in Italy) and was charged €1.50 per minute, is this correct?
