What makes a great hotel?

Checking in
Results released this week show that traveller satisfaction in hotels is rising, but traveller satisfaction in air transport is on the decline.

Smaller hotels had the biggest increase, and the big chain hotels like Hilton fared very well in the ratings.

What we noticed wasn't mentioned much though was what made the best hotels so good. Here at Tru we have quite a few travellers, who know a thing or two about staying in hotels, so we have put together a list of what we think the most important things are. As most Tru users are also regular travellers, we would like to find out what you think too. Let us know below.

Hi,

All this is nice, but when will the wait be over for SIM users to have Local Anywhere in Spain and Netherlands?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan - For businesses, Netherlands local rates are now available (see http://blog.truphone.com/2011/07/netherlands-local-rates-now-available-for-businesses.html). You will have to stay tuned a little longer for local Netherlands and Spanish rates for individuals (and business rates in Spain) though.

The luxury and comfort they provide along with their service, and yes most of all the food stuff should be good.

It depends on your accommodation needs. Although it's common for hotels to have varying service.
