On the 1st of July, the European Commission starts to get tough on mobile operators and their roaming charges.
The new EU roaming regulations are both good and bad for people and companies who travel internationally. On one hand it forces tariffs to be reduced saving people money, on the other it sets a maximum price which operators can get away with.
At Truphone, we have and will always strive to ensure our prices are set below the EU 'cap', and will continue to forces prices down so our customers always know they're getting the best possible price as well as services.
Ultimately, regulation is slow to make and confined to geo-political boundaries - but the world is round and moves very fast.
We believe the free market will drive prices for customers down faster and further than regulation ever could - and we'll be leading from the front, with a mission to do right by our customers, wherever they may roam.
Isn't that what the free market's all about?
