We're sorry.

Were-sorry

Unfortunately, it's true, we've had our wrists slapped by the UK's Advertising Standards Authority for using the terms "Truly Global" and "our Tru SIM will provide you with coverage wherever you are in the world".

For the record, if you are travelling to one of the following 19 countries not covered by our Tru SIM, why not get the Tru App? If you can get a WiFi signal, you'll still be able to stay connected with Truphone.

  • Bouvet Island (uninhabited)
  • British Indian Ocean Territory (military base only)
  • Cocos Islands
  • Eritrea
  • French Southern Territories (uninhabited)
  • Heard Island & Macdonald Islands (uninhabited)
  • Kiribati
  • Marshall Islands
  • Micronesia
  • Myanmar
  • Niue
  • North Korea
  • Pitcairn
  • Somalia
  • South Georgia & Sandwich Islands
  • St Helena
  • St Pierre & Miquelon
  • Tuvalu
  • Wallis & Futuna

The great news, of course, is that for every other country in the world (covering 98.55% of the world's population), you will be able to use your Tru SIM.

If you would like confirmation about where we do provide you with an excellent mobile network service, check out our coverage map.

A new Focus

In a weekend where the world's gaze was on events in Stratford, our gaze was firmly on the happenings at Snetterton as the BTCC made it's comeback after seven weeks in the wilderness.

The new Tru Racing

After weeks of having to keep the Tru Racing team's big news under wraps, this weekend saw the grand unveiling of the new, rather fantastic looking, Mountune-powered NGTC Ford Focus at Snetterton for round 6 of the MSA Dunlop British Touring Car Championship.

Its debut weekend was, by all accounts, sensational and offered much hope for the future. Qualifying was solid, if not spectacular and in each of the three races, the team gradually rose up the standings as the races progressed, peaking with a fifth place for Mat Jackson in the final race – exceeding all pre-weekend expectations.

The Redstone Racing Team Principal David Bartrum was buoyant, "This weekend was a special weekend. It announced Motorbase as a constructor. We served up a car at 6am Saturday morning that had only been finished three hours before and we came here and went out at free practise 1 and turned a wheel for the first time ever, it progressed in free practise two, again in qualifying and then to go out and move forward in every race is just unbelievable. We never moved backwards all weekend. If you would have told me on Friday night that we'd get three top eight finishes this weekend I'd have said I'll be a very lucky man if we do!"

Definitely an #awesim start for the new car and we’re itching to get back on the track in a couple of weeks at Knockhill. To follow the progress of the team, like our Tru Racing Facebook page and we'll keep you updated throughout the remainder of the season.

The eagle eyed amongst you will be able to spot an interesting development from us as well...
